Merger of two global companies
-
Wanted to save +$1000 million over three years
-
Hundreds of global procurement professionals
-
No standard approach to Procurement Transformation
-
Wanted new, merged procurement organization
Two leading global manufacturing companies merged to become one of the world’s largest companies. As a result of the merger, QP Group’s client needed to integrate the two distinct cultures. There was intense shareholder pressure to develop and deliver on post-merger synergies.
Our client had publicly committed to saving over $1000 million over three years.
The merged company was facing a daunting challenge, given the divergence in procurement styles, the multiple languages and cultures in which they operated and the hundreds of procurement professionals involved worldwide.
Our client did not have a standard approach to Procurement Transformation and needed help to develop a new procurement organization for the merged company.
Both companies before the merger knew QP Group. We were selected to help them accomplish their aggressive goals on the basis of our demonstrated ability to develop and implement customized processes and deliver savings. |
